The Italian newspaper Il Mattino reveals that Cheslea and Aston Villa have reached an agreement to acquire Romelu Lukaku.
This summer, Lukaku—who is also desired by Napoli—is scheduled to permanently depart Stamford Bridge.
The Belgian has been on loan at Roma and Inter Milan for the past two seasons. Since Napoli hasn’t let go of Victor Osimhen, Chelsea and Villa have now finalized a deal for Lukaku.
However, Lukaku will have to make the decision of whether to sign with Unai Emery’s team or wait to secure a return to Serie A.
Before Chelsea’s August 18 Premier League matchup against Manchester City, they hope to finalize his departure.
