The manager of Chelsea, Enzo Maresca, has declared that Marc Guiu will remain in the starting lineup for the coming season.
This summer, the 18-year-old secured a £5 million contract to join the Blues from Barcelona.
On Saturday, Guiu played in both the 4-1 loss to Celtic and the 2-2 tie with Wrexham.
Many thought the youth would be loaned out to obtain more experience.
However, following the match versus Chelsea, Maresca stated:
“The idea with Marc, with all the young players, is to have a look now during the pre-season and then to make a decision altogether.
“I think Marc is doing well and he’s one of the guys in this moment is going to stay with us and not going to go somewhere.”
