Leny Yoro, a new Manchester United signee, has revealed that the club’s former player, Rio Ferdinand, persuaded him to join the Red Devils.
According to Yoro, Ferdinand spoke with him for ten minutes.
Last Thursday, the Frenchman finalized his transfer from Lille to Manchester United.
“It was like two weeks ago [when I first spoke to Rio Ferdinand],” Leny said as quoted by Man United’s website. “He called me.
“First of all, I was really impressed to speak with him and, yeah, we spoke for like 10 minutes about Man United, so he helped me a lot to make my choice. It was really an honour to speak with him.”
