Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has described the club’s latest signing, Leny Yoro, as a “huge talent.”
Ten Hag remarked this while applauding the 18-year-old for demonstrating lots of promise in his first training session with Manchester United.
Yoro officially joined the Red Devils from Lille on Thursday.
He turned down an offer from La Liga champions Real Madrid to relocate to Old Trafford.
Yoro started Manchester United’s pre-season friendly triumph over Rangers on Saturday.
When asked if he was pleased to see Yoro play his debut game for Manchester United, Ten Hag answered MUTV:
“I think that is the right word—very exciting, for him and for us.
“We are so pleased we signed him. He’s a huge talent, and we are really looking forward to working with him, to build him.
“You could see he’s a player straight on the pitch yesterday in the training drills, so comfortable. We are really excited about him.”
