DSS tells the court Kanu refused new clothes; that’s a lie, Ozekhome responds.
Despite Justice Binta Nyako’s order that Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, not appear in court today in the same Fendi designer clothes he has been wearing since his arrest in June last year, Kanu did so today, sparking a debate over why her order was disobeyed.
The prosecution team informed the court that Kanu was given the option of changing his clothes, but the IPOB leader declined because he favored the Fendi designers he was wearing.
Kanu’s lead counsel, Chief Mike Ozekhome(SAN), however, told the court that this was not the case.
