The roads leading to the court complex on Ikot Ekpene Road in Umuahia, the state capital, were roped off by security personnel.
Motorists and pedestrians have been forced to seek alternate routes due to the blockade.
Before gaining admission to the court premises, security personnel required media and court staff to provide their identity cards, according to the DAILY POST.
The sitting court, Justice Benson Anya, had ordered security officers to cease at the previous session.
